Getting to Alcázar
Alcázar is a beautiful two and a quarter hour drive from Malaga, and an hour and a half's drive from the international airport at Granada.
The easiest and quickest way to get to Alcazar is by local taxi (arranged this end), but this can be expensive unless several are sharing. However, Andalucia is well served by the Alsina-Graells bus services - www.alsa.es and good car-hire deals can be had from both Granada and Malaga airports. Car hire is also available locally in Orgiva.
From Granada
- Flights to Granada: RyanAir / Spanair / Iberia
- Local taxi: approx 80 euros to Alcázar
- Bus: Direct to Alcázar - 13.30 (approx. 7 euros) arriving 15.45, and more frequently to Orgiva at 10:00, 12:00, 13:30, 16:00, 17:00, 17:00, and 20:00. Last bus Granada-Orgiva at weekends leaves at 17.30.
- Allow 20 minutes from airport to bus station - shuttle buses meet all flights. We will collect you from Orgiva.
From Malaga
- Flights to Malaga: BA / Easyjet / RyanAir / Aer Lingus / Monarch / Spanair / Iberia
- Local taxi: approx 110 euros to Alcázar
- Bus: Mon-Saturday direct to Orgiva - 15:00 arriving 18:00, approx 11 euros. If arriving after 13:30 or on a Sunday, travel via Granada, hourly departures, approx 12 euros. It's two hours from Malaga to Granada, then one hour and three quarter hours to Orgiva. Last bus Granada-Orgiva at weekends leaves at 17.30.

Please Note:
To return to Malaga by public transport your flight must leave after 14.30 at the earliest. Flights leaving before 14.30 will require either a private taxi from Alcazar, or an overnight stay in Malaga.
